Frequently asked questions

Your total flight revenue determines your tier. There are eight tiers, each with unique benefits like Etihad for Business Credits and fare discounts.

If you already have an account, your tier is set by what you spent on flights last year. We’ll review your progress in January. By February, you’ll:

·       Keep your tier when you reach your revenue target

·       Level up automatically to the next tier

·       Move down one tier if you don’t meet the minimum requirements

If you’re new to Etihad for Business, your account manager sets your tier based on your estimated spend. You’ll begin with a three-month probation and need to reach at least 15% of your tier’s minimum threshold.

If you do, you keep your tier. If not, we adjust it based on your progress

Key dates to know:

·       Qualifying period: January to December

·       Commercial period: February to January

We’ll give you more time. Your probation will be extended, and we’ll set your tier a week later.

We’ll set your tier based on your pro-rated spend since you joined.

No, unused Etihad for Business Credits expire on 31 December. Don’t worry—we’ll remind you before then. New credits land on 1 February each year.

You earn Etihad for Business Credits every time you fly. The number of credits is based on your tier — the more you fly, the more you earn.

It’s a mix of your previous year’s spend and your tier multiplier. The higher your tier, the more you earn.

Yes, you get priority during disruptions and direct access to our senior team, including regional and general managers.

Yes, but there’s a difference between commercial and legal terms. Your account manager can adjust commercial terms. Legal changes go through our legal team and may take longer.

That’s fine. While our contracts are legally evergreen, the commercial terms only last 12 months. If you need legal changes, we can amend accordingly.

No, all commercial terms are reviewed and reset in January.

There’s no need to re-sign the legal terms each year — your contract is evergreen and only needs to be signed once – but we refresh our commercial terms annually. Every January, we review your account’s performance to set your tier for the new cycle starting in February.

Tiers 1 to 3 get two logins. Tiers 4 and 5 get three logins. Tiers 6 and above get four logins. If you need more, you can use your Etihad for Business Credits to buy additional logins.

If you are your account administrator, you’ll be able to assign portal logins and functionality to whoever you wish.
